History

History

In the last decade of the 20th century there were many new tasks, new questions raised within the field of musical culture, musical education and music itself. Those issues could not be solved via rational argumentations. Predominant euphoric nature of the decision caused cut of support within previous cultural, aesthetic, and educational values. New reality reviewing in music and educational enviroment could not be planned, nor developed via comparative thinking between future and past or in relation to other cultures. New changes brought moral and ethical loss. New reality initiated members of the Slovak musical union in Nitra and the founders of Regional Associations of the Slovak union of music in Nitra (doc. Helena Červeňová, PhD., Mgr. Alena Janičíková, PhD., doc. Jozef Vereš, PhD.) together with employees of Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra to create new title named Musical- pedagogical interpretations (in 1994). The primary objective was to provide a forum for the publication of such works that illuminate and guide the orientation of the new musical paradigms, musical – communicative changes, educational thinking and at the same time to point out cooexistence between musical past as well as current musical- pedagogical events in the world.

In 2006 editorial board agreed to change the name of the title to Music - Integrations – Interpretations. Herein change allowed dealing with issues in more details and connections to musical-communicational changes of music, with icreasing disciplinary cooperation, reception plurality and new musical-sicentific and musical-pedagogical integration intrusions. Following are the members of editorial and scientific board: doc. H. Červeňová, PhD., prof. PhDr. J. Fukač, PhD. (+2009), prof. I. Poledňák, DrSc.(+2011), Mgr. A. Janičíková, PhD., doc. J. Vereš, PhD. Current members are: prof. Wieuslava A. Sacher, PhD. (Poland), Mgr. T. Gončarová (Russia), PhD., Mgr. Martina – Moravshik (USA),doc. PhDr. V. Ševčíková, PhD. (Czech), doc. Jozef Vereš, PhD. (Slovakia), PhDr. Vladimír Fulka, PhD. (Slovakia).
